Cultural Studies

Cultural studies is an interdisciplinary framework that draws on history, literature and other artistic practices, from which social scientists can analyze the communal and individual effects of power, knowledge, and resistance. These analyses illuminate the assumptions we hold concerning why and how inequalities persist, asking us to take stock of and expand our current awareness.

In my own work, I interrogate how the (too) many axes of inequality – including gender/sexualities, diversity, ‘race’/ethnicity and nation – shape how human beings interpret and change the world.
